This place is a gem, a real find! How have i not known this Latin inspired tapas bar even existed? I’m ashamed of myself!

I stumbled across Santa Ana one evening when i was out & about in St Kilda~ one of the trendier suburbs of Melbourne~ & i thought i would give it a try, nothing to lose & everything to gain. It was bustling inside so i figured that was a good sign. There is a rather extensive tapas menu, which i must admit confused the hell out of me when it came to actually ordering! Too many mouth watering choices. I settled for 4 tapas dishes. I can highly reccomend the following:

Ceviche de Pescado (Raw white fish- don’t be scared, it’s amazing & fresh)
Cordero en Yucca (Lamb cutlets)
Taquitos Gauchos (Soft tortillas)
Latina Salad (Mixed green salad)

…oh, and a Piña Colada to help wash it down with :)

I found the staff to be very attentive to my needs & prompt. There was no long wait for the food to come out & the staff checked up to make sure that everything was ok. Being Latin inspired the food here is flavoursome & delicious, to say the very least. There’s also a one man band who plays on a Saturday night which added to the ambiance.

I’ll be back.
